Privacy Policy

Gulf Coast Radio (“we,” “us”) operates the Gulf Coast Radio mobile app and this website. We keep data collection to a minimum and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Information we collect

No accounts. The app has no login. We don’t collect your name or password to use it.

Device identifier & favorites. When you save a favorite, we store it against a random identifier generated on your device — not tied to your identity — so your favorites persist.

Approximate location. With your permission, the app uses your device location to center the Live Music Radar map and show nearby events. This is used on-device for the map; we don’t track your movements.

Information you submit. If you request a song, submit an event or a venue/band profile, or contact us, we collect what you provide — such as your name, email, and the content of your request — so we can respond and, where relevant, review it for publication.

Notifications. If you enable push notifications, we store a push token to send event reminders and updates. You can turn this off in your device settings.

How we use information

To provide and improve the app and website, show the live-music map and events, deliver the requests you submit to our team by email, review submissions for publication, and send notifications you’ve opted into. We do not use your data for advertising tracking.

Service providers

We rely on a few trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database and backend hosting), Google Maps Platform (map tiles and place lookup), Resend (transactional email to our team), and Apple and Google (app distribution and, if enabled, push delivery). These providers process data only to provide their services to us.

Data retention & deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete your data at any time on our Delete My Data page, or by emailing us. We delete device-linked data and submissions on a verified request, retaining records only where briefly required for security or legal reasons.

Children

Gulf Coast Radio is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
